For A Life Unburdened is a Metalcore group hailing from southern Alberta's Medicine Hat. Previously being known under the name Breaking Affliction, the band has taken a fresh start to their music. 

Starting with the departure of their former drummer Jayden Webb, the band quickly found a new drummer to take on the challenge. Marshalls style has already added to the creativity in the bands writing style. Chandler and Theron's guitar riffs are unique and are the driving force behind the bands sound. Coming from more of a thrash metal background, Chandler brings speed and heavy riffing which is complimented by Theron's melodic style of playing. Brandon keeps the groove on bass and adds his own creativity with wicked bass lines and an energetic stage presence. Connors Vocals range from low to high screams with melodic cleans during chorus'. 

2015 was a slow start that had Theron depart from the band for several months and then rejoining. The band's debut EP "When Flames Reach The Heavens" was released on January 7th, 2016 exclusively on bandcamp. FALU quickly followed up with their latest release entitled "Waiting For Us To Die" on May 6th, 2016. The band did a small central Canadian tour in support of their newest EP. "The Dismay Tour" Consisted of Winnipeg's Commencing Human Desperation and For A Life Unburdened as supporting act.
